Bel Air is divided into two main sections, known as “East Gate Old Bel Air” and “West Gate Bel Air.” The East Gate area is the original section of Bel Air, developed in the 1920s, and features beautiful, historic homes and estates. The West Gate area was developed later, in the 1950s and 1960s, and features a mix of architectural styles, including modernist, Mediterranean, and traditional.
